Lacroix-Ruggieri is a powerhouse of international fireworks, being born out of two of Europe’s oldest fireworks companies; Ruggieri from Italy and Ettiene Lacroix from France. The combination of these two forces has created one of Europe’s leading pyrotechnic specialists, with over 250 years of experience in the field. Having dazzled the crowds with their fireworks for the likes of King Louis XIV of France in the 1700’s, Lacroix-Ruggieri now provide the firework displays for such rock royalty as U2, Pink Floyd and The Rolling Stones.

With its own famous research laboratory, Lacroix-Ruggieri are always looking to astonish the crowds with their innovative displays. They are last year winner of World Fireworks Championship 2010, held for the first time in Muscat as part of Oman’s 40th National Day anniversary celebrations.

February 28, 2010
CCP Complex
Manila, Philippines

This is the 3rd week of the 1st Philippine Pyromusical Competition 2010 in Mall of Asia, and the show is becoming a weekend family affair in the Metropolis and of course a haven for photographers.

I wanted this shot different so I research and browse the internet on different fireworks display photos and the best I remember are with those water reflections, so my goal for this day is to check the entire vicinity of Manila Bay. I check google map and presto! I found the breakwater of CCP Complex. It’s a huge vacant lot at the back of ghostly haunted Manila Film Center, nearby Hotel Sofitel. We arrived at exactly 6pm and of course we asked the guards permission to park my car and do my photography project. And true indeed- the fireworks display from this site is totally awesome! A fulfilled goal for the day 🙂

The show started at 730pm, and yes we can also hear the music and the host speech from MOA so we know when to be ready. Also, I consider this shots as my breakthrough shots for Fireworks display. Enjoy Viewing!

excerpts from;

A must see place in NYC! I was there for about an hour appreciating the cathedral architectural beauty and its fine details. I wish I could name all the Altars in my shot collections, maybe I’ll go back soon and make notes. So far this is the Grandest Medieval Architecture I’ve ever seen in USA.
