One Sykes! Biggest Call Center Party for 2010

ONE Sykes Year End Party
SM Mall of Asia

One Sykes

This is the party I shouldn’t have missed. Year 1999, it was celebrated in the former StreetLife in Glorietta, 2000 and 2001 in Hard Rock Cafe 2002 in NBC Tent. I remember PICC Forum as well as the venue for 2 years then SM Mall of Asia for 3 Consecutive Years. Sykes is known for its grandest year end party and this 2010 is another milestone and the first to celebrate a Pyro Musical Theater Show Party called “One Sykes”. They were all dressed up in red and white and it feels like a Valentines Concert and somewhat a Red Cross Party! but Sykes rocks this 2010! Congratulations to the organizers! and it was also nice to see former colleagues and bosses, including Mike Henderson himself. Good to see you again Mike H! until next!

Do check out below the beautiful fireworks, my favorite was the red one, so Sykes! and yes Microtel Hotel should give me credits for featuring their hotel on most of the shots. I dont have a choice though, they were so near in the fireworks launching area and this is the best time for them to capture an advertisement shot for their hotel. It looks like a grand opening of their hotel with lots of fireworks. Very colorful indeed!

Today, we remember the famous 911 US Tragedy that scares the entire world on the threat of terrorism. And I cant seem to share anything but a prayer that every nation and entire mankind celebrates peace and joy on earth.

How I would like to express the event and looking back at my photography collections, I actually don’t have any idea at all. I just browse my collection and look at my model portraits, And then I notice a common moments on these ladies and I start to ask myself: What’s on their mind? Their facial expression with their wide eyes shut moments had its variety and uniqueness. So I decided to group them in one album and share. Each image represents an emotion of happiness, deep thinking, sometimes sadness and just being at peace. So lovely to stare at and appreciate the beauty and the thought of calmness on their faces.

As I group them in one album, this eyes wide shut moments evidently sending a message of peace and joy. Let this be a day of remembrance to celebrate calmness in in every human heart, strong faith and belief, unselfishness, and love to all mankind.

About Dora:

Occupation: Enterprise Application Specialist.

Christmas 2009 Message:

Christmas comes without ribbons, tags, packages or boxes. But rather, it comes throughout the year with sweet friendship, mended broken relationships, bonded family, hope reborn, forgiveness and peace from within.

This Christmas — values not value; presence not presents.

Personal Style Guide for Christmas:

The glamour of Christmas parties keeps most of us excited. Some would prefer the sparkles while others go for their old tacky sweater. I, on the other hand, would always settle for the classic, elegant yet comfortable style.

The Green Color:

Green is the color of nature, fertility, life. Grass green is the most restful color. Green symbolizes self-respect and well being. Green is the color of balance. It also means learning, growth and harmony. Green is a safe color, if you don’t know what color to use anywhere use green.

Green is favored by well balanced people. Green symbolizes the master healer and the life force. It often symbolizes money. It was believed green was healing for the eyes. Egyptians wore green eyeliner. Green eyeshades are still used. You should eat raw green foods for good health. Friday is the day of green. Green jade is a sacred stone of Asia.

Green Energy

Green contains the powerful energies of nature, growth, desire to expand or increase. Balance and a sense of order are found in the color green. Change and transformation is necessary for growth, and so this ability to sustain changes is also a part of the energy of green.

Put some green in your life when you want:

a new state of balance
feel a need for change or growth
freedom to pursue new ideas
protection from fears and anxieties connected with the demands of others

The Color Equivalent Gemstone: Peridot

A tiny island known as Zabargard (owned by Egypt) is documented as the first source of peridot, dating back as far as four thousand years. Early Crusaders who visited St. John’s Island (now called Zabargard) introduced this gem to Europe upon return from battle.

Peridot is mentioned in many ancient references as chrysolite. It is mentioned throughout the Bible, and early Christians considered it sacred. Today still, Catholic Bishops traditionally wear a ring of peridot and amethyst as a symbol of purity and morality.

The peridot was believed to be a stone of springtime by ancients who considered it a gift from Mother Nature. Napoleon once made a gift of peridot to Josephine as a symbol of undying love and admiration. In ancient times, it was said that a dream about peridot foretold impending danger.

Healing qualities of peridot
Peridot is a stone of lightness and beauty. Only spiritual or clear-minded persons should use peridot. The person with too many earthly problems will not be able to understand the beauty of the Peridot. The very spiritual can wear peridot in a necklace with the stone at the base of the throat to feel its soothing effect. Used in a necklace, peridot is a protector against negative emotions.

Peridot has been known to have healing effect on the gall bladder and liver.

Sources of peridot
Peridot is a gem variety from the olivine mineral group. The bottle green color is called peridot. Yellowish green is chrysolite. Olive green is olivine. Sources of peridot include: St. John’s Island (Egypt), United States (Arizona and Hawaii), Myanmar, Burma, Australia, Norway, South Africa and Brazil.
