Day 113/365: St Jerome Parish Church, The Baroque Wonder of Morong Rizal

Day 113/365: St Jerome Parish Church, The Baroque Wonder of Morong Rizal

April 23, 2011 (Black Saturday)

My ultimate dream is to take a shot of all the baroque churches of the Philippines and show the world how beautiful this architectural wonders that was built centuries ago. Here is one of the most wonderful baroque church I truly admire and a real wonder of Morong Rizal – St Jerome Parish Church.

You dont need to travel to Macau and Spain just to have a nice photo with a magnificent tall belfry. Just go to Morong Rizal and it will surely worth your trip!

Day 113/365: St Jerome Parish Church, The Baroque Wonder of Morong Rizal

About St Jerome Church:

Located in Brgy. San Jose, Morong Rizal, St. Jerome Parish Church is one of the remnants of the grandeur and spirit of the colonial period. Nothing in our Western culture now is similar to its neo-Baroque style.

Originally built in 1615 by Chinese craftsmen, the church survived natural disasters and the tumultuous Spanish regime, with its walls standing witness to the Katipuneros who were captured and executed there. Sitting majestically on a hill overlooking the river, the Morong Church is truly a cultural icon, an edifice of the Christian faith, and a cradle of their architectural heritage.

Its new belfry was integrated with the old three-storey facade, thus becoming one of the most well-composed architectures in colonial Philippines.

New York, New York

New York, New York

Last year is truly one of my unforgettable travel, it was when I met The Lady Liberty of NY City. The weather was freezing cold! but it was also a great time to walk around Central Park, watched Lion King at Broadway, appreciate the commercial bill boards at Time Square, hurdle the busy street of Manhattan, ride the subways, coffee with good friends and dinner with cousins, a great time indeed! I Love NYC! Hope to be back soon and take photos during the Autumn Season 🙂

This picture was taken before the attempted military coup, and in my recent visit this year, there was a few changes in the main entrance doors its designs. Some information I got from the marketing officers was that the coup made them an instant favorite hotel destination in Makati being part now of the Philippines political history. Well, it is still my favorite hotel to have my Halo Halo for midnight snack on their grandeur and elegant lobby.

What I consider best in Manila Pen?

– Their main exterior fronting Ayala, the hotel landmark with waterfalls.
– The Pool Area, relaxing surrounded by greens, it seems you are not within the concrete jungle.
– The Main Lobby and Ceiling, just perfect.
– The Main Lobby Stair Case, favorite for weddings and concerts.
– The Ambiance, best to sit and relax, have coffee with colleagues and be a critic for hotel guest fashion and looks (that’s what my girl friends usually do)
– The Food Menu, a classic Filipino
– Service. Awesome and Highly Rated, no wonder why this is the Northwest Airlines Pilots and Stewardess Manila overnight hub.
– Halo-Halo! – superb to end your night with a sweet treat with your special someone or with friends.

That’s all for now folks!

Until my lens meets you @ My Life Best Shots,

Rman

When I need to go Malling, the most convenient and nearby to where I live is EastWood City. And with the new addition of EastWood Mall, it became a top most to go for movies, shopping, and dining. The place is very compact yet spacious for everyone who would want just to walk and relax . The lights at night is awesome and I cant help myself to include it in my photography collection. Also, if you visit the area, watch their dancing fountain too.
