Day 200: My Work

This is my last few days with Teletech Holdings after being with them for almost a year. The new learning and advance technology they have taught me is priceless. Work is always a day to day challenge we face and it’s on our hands on how we will make it productive. The secret probably in making the right decision is to be of service to others and ensure a Win Win scenario.

The meaning of WORK:

Work is either paid or unpaid. Paid work is what most people associate with the term ‘work’.

Unpaid work includes housework and schoolwork.

Most people in full-time employment work 5 days a week, although there has been an increase in the number of people working at weekends and part-time. In recent years, the ability to work flexible hours has grown in importance.

The time we have outside of work is usually termed leisure. The amount of leisure time has been affected in recent years by;

– The long hours culture
– The length of time people in work are prepared to commute

Many workers have experienced a decline in their amount of leisure time. This has resulted in less quality time devoted to relationships, but it has probably contributed to an increase in personal wealth, and a relatively good economy.

In sociological terms employment plays a major role in terms of;

– Determining a person’s level of income
– Defining a person’s status and social class
– Life chances. For example those in social classes AB enjoy greater life chances than those in social classes DE

Day 201: Life

Life a Poem written by Mother Theresa

Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is bliss, taste it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is costly, care for it.
Life is wealth, keep it.
Life is love, enjoy it.
Life is mystery, know it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.

Day 202: People

People from all walks of life dances in different tunes and sing in different tones. Today, It was a great learning that there will always be people around you, whom you least expect could harm you or even just being nice to you. It is so true that we can not pleased anyone. It will be our personal choice and duty to be on guard on our good values and be positive on all the things that is happening in our surroundings, And there will always be a purpose and result to every decision that we made. As I close today my work battle’s and being with this people that put me into challenge. I sincerely Thank them for pushing me to be the best that I can be. Day 203: Family

As I end this chapter of work, life, people journey. I am still bound home to my loving family and be surprised by a beautiful smile by my daughter and wife. That is what I really called “priceless”

The saying goes that you can choose your friends but you can’t choose your family. Spend your life showing those you love that they will always have their family no matter what happens.

Importance of a Family:
By: Shrinivas Kanade

Take a pause for a few seconds and ask yourself, “Why do you work so hard?” What motivates you to do so day after day? Most of the readers may utter a single word to answer both the question, ‘My family,’ and may share few experiences of their own. But, what is a family? All of us inherit our physical attributes from our parents. However, when you start interacting with the outside world, you realize that they are not enough to ensure your success, not even sufficient for your survival. When you find yourself in such a situation, what is it that sustains and supports you. The values which were passed on to you by your family make your survival and growth possible. The values such as patience, care, understanding and commitment that were invested and instilled in you, differentiates you from the rest. If you are already a successful person and I don’t mean it in the monetary sense only, then it only underlies the values you inherited from your family.

It is not difficult to uncover the importance of family. You may or may not be aware, but your family was the first school you entered as soon as you arrived in this world where ‘Survival of the fittest’, is the golden rule. In other words, ‘Let the unfit perish’, is the motto. When you stepped into this world, you were unfit to survive on your own and by the rule, a perishable entity. However, your arrival made your family happy and they took you home and from day one, you started learning about love, care and family relationship. Your parents didn’t change your wet nappies only to stop you from wailing at 3 AM and to have an uninterrupted sleep, but, because you were uncomfortable with it. Are you convinced? If you are not, then let me know, I have an endless list of examples which I could draw on and on.

Your family is the environment where you learned to use your faculties, and to understand and cope with the physical world. You knew, you are the kingpin of your family. It is the place, where you learned how a family a work, by observing how your parents, grandparents, your siblings and rest of the family members deal with each other.

With the passage of time, you matured and started taking note of other people on the fringe of your family and then of those, outside your family and how your family members interacted with them. It is at this point in your life, when you learned, what is meant by a healthy relationship and how to make a relationship last. You also noticed, how your family coped and adjusted with the ups and downs of life. Do you remember, whether your family exposed you to these difficult times or were you cocooned in the safety of your family, totally unaware of them.

What you learn from your family becomes your value system, forms your perceptions and basis of actions. An individual is known by his or her actions. Have you ever noticed that your actions always confirmed to the basic values you acquired from your family. Did you ever delved deep inside them to find the seeds of thoughts that lies at their bottom? Who planted these thoughts? These are thoughts which gives you courage, when you are riding the wave of fortune at its deepest trough with its crest hanging over your head like a sword.

Every individual, barring few unfortunates, are similar to the earth enveloped by its environment that acts as a protective layer and keeps the empty space out. The earth is populated and fertile because of it. For an individual his family acts as one such environment and gives him a chance to prove his worth and claim his place.
